Brandywine

A rightly famous heirloom beefsteak tomato from the 1800’s, named for its excellent rich flavour. In the USA this is as famous and widely-grown as Gardeners’ Delight is over here. The flattened red fruit are really quite large – about 400g – so the vine should have sturdy support.

This excellent strain was recently selected for Euopean conditions and reintroduced by the Italian seedhouse ‘Sementi Ingegnoli’.
