Purple Venzuelan

An incredibly rare, beautiful purple-leaved plant, making pea-sized purple fruit that then turn red, making a great contrast with the purple leaves. We last had this in 2010 , but due to several poor harvests then lost the strain & couldn’t offer it any more. 

However, Justin Richardson had been saving his own seed at home all this time – he got in touch and sent us a few seeds. From that we’ve reselected the variety and are bringing it back into production. Just a few precious packets (98!) made this year from the pots in our conservatory.

Hot and spicy. Very decorative in a windowsill pot.
